I've been waiting for a TSA backpack that was more affordable and this is it. I have only traveled twice with it so far but am finding that it works for me. I have used it with two different laptops, no problems, and find that it has room for all the cords, gadgets, and other office stuff. It fit under the seat on a really small regional jet, too, leaving room in the overhead for some guy's coat.

Caselogic has set the standard for laptop backpacks with this well designed travel companion. Sporting a sleek design and a charcoal black exterior, this backpack simply exudes sturdiness and style. Despite initial appearances, the backpack is rather lightweight and feels soft to the touch. While it is advertised to hold a 16" laptop, there is enough room to accommodate a 17" laptop, as well. The laptop remains secured in a well-padded compartment that is not constrictive when placing or removing the laptop. This backpack can also be unzipped in the middle to lay flat as two sections for convenience during airport security x-ray screenings. The zippers are also made of metal as opposed to hard plastic, which has a tendency to break after repeated usage. The front of the backpack has several compartments of varying sizes meant to house AC adapters, books, pens & pencils, CDs, cell phones, and other such small accessories. There are hardly any small pouches or side pockets, which may suit some but not others. The shoulder straps are well padded and feel comfortable while wearing over the shoulders. The dangling straps can also be tucked in via Velcro fasteners so as to look more visually appealing. It is these little touches that make this backpack particularly unique. Caselogic has not sacrificed a professional look for the sake of convenience or protection, making it ideal for students and working professionals. The only negative aspect of this product is the retail price, which is slightly higher than similar backpacks made by other companies. But if terms of convenience, durability, and style, the Caselogic backpack is simply in a class of its own and well worth the added expense.

This bag holds a lot of files in the middle compartment in addition to having compartments for personal devices that are easily accessible. It has worked great in the airport and is very easy to carry. The feature that allows it to attach to another bag handle works great as well. I would recommend this bag!

I purchased this backpack from Amazon.com about 60 days ago and have used it on 5 trips. It is really great for getting through airport security hassle free but the stitching on one of the shoulder straps has started to separate. Called Case Logic customer service to file a warranty claim and get a replacement backpack. Learned that all of their stuff is made in China so regardless of their brand name and professional customer service, I feel like I am stuck with a piece or crap that I will continue to have problems with. When will these companies learn that poor quality is not acceptable?

Substandard materials and construction at a premium price. I immediately returned this. This backpack wasn't designed to last one day. I wouldn't have wanted it if it was free.
